How to get there

By airplane

The closest and most convenient airports are in the Milan and Verona area.

  • Milan Linate Airport (LIN): Milan Linate is a convenient airport for domestic and European flights and is well connected to Brescia. Then, to get to Brescia:

    • By Train:

      • From Linate Airport, take a taxi or metro M4 (blue line) to Milano Centrale train station. Taxi: ~20–30 minutes. Metro M4 + short walk: ~30 minutes

      • From Milano Centrale, take a train to Brescia, High-speed (Frecciarossa / Italo): 35–45 minutes | Regional trains: ~50–60 minutes

      • Train booking: 

    • Taxi or Private Transfer: Taxis (and Uber) are available directly outside the terminal. Private transfers can be booked in advance through hotels or local services.

    • Rental Car: then 

      • ​Follow signs to A4 motorway (direction Venice)

      • Exit at Brescia Centro or Brescia Ovest

      • Total drive time: ~1 hour 15 minutes

  • Milan Bergamo Airport (BGY): Milan Bergamo is the closest airport to Brescia and ideal for European flights. Then, to go to Brescia:​

    • By Train:​

      • ​Route: From the airport, take a bus or taxi to Bergamo train station (15–20 minutes), From Bergamo station, take a regional train to Brescia (~50 minutes)

      • Trenitalia: official website

    • Taxi / Private Transfer: axis (and Uber) are available directly outside the terminal. Private transfers can be booked in advance through hotels or local services.

  • Milan Malpensa (MXP): Best for intercontinental flights.

    • By train

      • Malpensa Express → Milano Centrale → Brescia (total ~2.5 hours) ​

      • Train booking: 

    • By Taxi / Private Transfer: taxis (and Uber) are available directly outside the terminal. Private transfers can be booked in advance through hotels or local services.

  • Verona Airport (VRN): small and easy airport

    • By Train:

      • ​Taxi to Verona Porta Nuova → Brescia (~1 hour total)

      • Train booking: 

    • By Taxi / Private Transfer: taxis (and Uber) are available directly outside the terminal. Private transfers can be booked in advance through hotels or local services.

By Train

Brescia is on the main high-speed rail line between Milan and Venice, with frequent connections.

 

Travel times

  • Milan → Brescia: 35–50 minutes

  • Verona → Brescia: ~35 minutes

  • Venice → Brescia: ~1 hour 15 minutes

💡 Brescia Train Station is a short taxi ride from the city centre and old town.

By Car

Brescia is easily accessible via the A4 motorway (Milan–Venice).

Approximate driving times

  • From Milan: ~1 hour

  • From Verona: ~45 minutes

  • From Bergamo: ~50 minutes

⚠️ Please note that Brescia’s historic centre has limited traffic zones (ZTL). Parking is available in designated car parks outside the old town.

💡 Practical tip

For guests staying in the old town, train + taxi is often the easiest option. If you plan to explore Franciacorta or the lakes, renting a car is recommended.
